Most common questions from private customers
Increased energy prices have put extra pressure on our customer service. Rasmus Blomkvist is one of many who receive calls with questions both from those who are going to change the heat source in their house and those who are building a new house. Here he answers the five most common questions from our private customers.

What is the best way to increase energy savings by optimizing the heat pump?
For most people who have an F-series and S-series heat pump, Smart Price Adaptation is an interesting function to avoid the high price spikes. It works so that the pump senses and adapts its operation when there is cheap electricity and when there is expensive electricity. With the right optimization, you save between 5 and 10% on an annual basis. For it to work, you need to have an hourly price agreement with your electricity supplier.
When should I replace my heat pump?
Instead of waiting for the old one to break, it might be good to have a little more foresight today due to longer delivery times. Usually, you replace the existing heat pump when it breaks, but with foresight, you can avoid any backlash. The lifespan of the entire heat pump is somewhere around 15-20 years.
Are the new heat pumps better than their predecessors?
Many of today's heat pumps have a new generation of compressors that avoid starting and stopping and therefore provide smoother and more efficient operation. The intelligent technology in our heat pumps also contributes to making them more efficient and reducing energy consumption. And with control via apps and modern interfaces, they have also become more user-friendly.
How long is your delivery time now?
The high demand for our products combined with continued component shortages creates longer delivery times. But we also see that delivery times vary greatly between different product groups and models. Mentioning a general time does not give a fair picture of the availability of a specific heat pump. Right now it is wisest to be out in good time.
What do you get out of having solar cells from NIBE?
Together with a NIBE heat pump, you get a system solution where all units talk to each other to achieve more efficient operation. What we have is a device that sends information from the inverter to the heat pump, and which in turn can adapt the operation of the compressor so that it stores the energy in the form of heat. Either in the water heater or in the house. In addition, you can monitor the facility in the app and see how much energy the sun provides in real time.
Is there any way to store energy at night?
The best way to store heat in the house is to use scheduling during the hours when the electricity price is at its lowest by increasing the temperature by a couple of degrees then. Or use Smart Price Adaptation together with an hourly price agreement, then the heat pump works the most when the electricity price is at its lowest.
