NIBE Exhaust Air Heat Pump wins again at the Energy Saving Awards!
NIBE’s S735 Exhaust Air Heat Pump (EAHP) won ‘Domestic Energy Saving Product of the Year’ at the 2024 Energy Saving Awards, announced on 6th December at the De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in London. A multi-award winning product, the S735 has already topped the ‘Heat Pump of the Year’ category at the HVR awards and been shortlisted for other industry accolades.
With no need for an outside unit and everything required to deliver heating, hot water and ventilation in one compact indoor box, EAHPs provide a tailor-made energy saving solution for densely populated locations where Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHPs) may not be suitable.
Launched at the end of 2023, the S735 is NIBE’s most powerful and energy efficient exhaust air heat pump product to-date. Boasting a high seasonal performance factor, low operating costs, quiet operation and a compact size, the S735 also utilises low GWP R290 (propane).
As part of the S Series range, the NIBE S735 also benefits from state-of-the-art controls, which improve individual comfort levels, are simple to use and can be integrated into a ‘smart home’. Accessible through the myUplink app, specific energy saving benefits include CO2, temperature and humidity sensors that automatically optimise ventilation based on the number of people in a room, forecast controls that adjust the heat pump in advance of weather changes, and synergy with energy provider tariffs to ensure the most cost-effective electricity usage.
Paul Smith, MD for NIBE UK, said: “We are delighted that the S735 has been recognised as the ‘Domestic Energy Saving Product of the Year’ in the Energy Saving Awards. Momentum is growing for EAHPs, a technology that has been commonplace in Scandinavia and other parts of Europe for many years; NIBE was, in fact, the first company to bring EAHP products to market in Sweden, in the early 1980s.
“Winning this accolade comes at the end of what has been a great year of awards for NIBE, with two other wins and a number of shortlisting’s for the S735 and also our S1256 Ground Source Heat Pump (GSHP).
“2025 looks even more exciting for exhaust air heat pumps – we will be bringing the NIBE S735C to market, which can provide cooling as well as heating, hot water and ventilation – a total climate control solution for new builds and urban environments.”
NIBE S735 energy efficient features and benefits:

Improved power: The S735 is NIBE’s most powerful EAHP to-date.
Reduced running costs: Thanks to its enhanced efficiency and high seasonal performance factor.
Smart controls: The NIBE S735 benefits from some of the most innovative, comprehensive and easy-to-use controls available, which also contribute to improved energy efficiency.
