Graham Bayne, Head of Installer Development
Graham Bayne, Head of Installer Development, will explain the steps to becoming an MCS certified heat pump installer and how this can help your business. The NIBE Pro scheme provides a structured route to MCS accreditation, including a Level 3 heat pump qualification, product specific training on NIBE’s industry leading heat pumps and support in becoming MCS certified.
With MCS accreditation necessary to help consumers access the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS), installers will open-up greater market opportunities by meeting its criteria. With NIBE’s support, this needn’t be a daunting task.
Understanding Exhaust Air Heat Pump Technology
![Rick Clarke, Product Manager](/images/18.2e9d2d7e18da8f84b45201b/1710175335696/Rick%20Clarke.jpg)
Rick Clarke, Product Manager
Rick Clarke, Product Manager, will explain Exhaust Air Heat Pumps (EAHPs) – the technology and market opportunities. EAHPs provide an excellent solution for flats and densely packed inner-city properties where Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHPs) may not be suitable. NIBE is a leader in the field of EAHPs – this technology was first conceived by the company in 1981.
Using internal air from a property to create heating and hot water, EAHPs require no outside unit so building aesthetics are not compromised and there are no noise issues to contend with – a crucial feature for flats and apartments. NIBE’s newest, most powerful and energy efficient model, the NIBE S735, boasts high seasonal performance factor, low operating costs, quiet operation, compact size and state-of-the-art controls, which enhance energy savings, improve individual comfort levels and are simple to use.
Direction of NIBE & UK Heat Pump Market

Paul Smith, Managing Director, and Olivia Downing, Head of Marketing
Paul Smith, Managing Director, or Olivia Downing, Head of Marketing, will provide an overview of the heat pump market and its direction, drawing on NIBE’s experience in Sweden and the rest of Europe.
The UK heat pump market is growing, following on the heels of its European cousins. To take advantage, installers need support from manufacturers, with access to product training, a broad portfolio of solutions to fit the varied UK housing stock and engineering back-up. It is essential that both installers and end users have good heat pump experiences so the tide turns on some of the negative rhetoric that has hampered delivery.
